After earning a degree in International Commerce and Legal Science from the University of Central America, Manuel began a career in marketing and sales for the Nicaraguan agricultural industry that has continued in his role at Supply Hope. As the Mercado Fresco Business Coach, Manuel plays a vital part in the success of our micro-franchise owners. He conveys love and hope to those who need it as he sees them transform from tears to smiles in a self-employment initiative.
RENE QUINTANILLA ARGUELLO
Rene brings a pharmacy degree and medical supply chain experience to the team, a great advantage to Supply Hope’s future growth. His main goal as route assistant is to make sure micro-franchise owners have the resources they need to run their businesses, which in turn gives them the opportunity to improve their lives.
Ana, a mother of four and grandmother of two, is motivated by a job well done, which means she is always motivated around Supply Hope’s Managua office. She brings her heart to serve others to work every day as she ensures that our Managua office is in top shape and guests have what they need when they visit.
Claudia loves creating sustainable solutions that help to transform people’s lives. As the Nicaragua Program Director, she gets that opportunity every day. Before joining the Supply Hope team, Claudia used her degree in Business Administration to oversee programs that promote business development services for female entrepreneurs. Her leadership in the Managua office has been critical to the success of Supply Hope’s programs in Nicaragua.
Growing up in rural Nicaragua, Antonio learned the value of discipline and hard work at a young age. He brings his extensive experience in agriculture to ensure that all Mercado Fresco food preparation and packaging use high quality and hygiene standards. At the Supply Hope office, Antonio has served as the poster child for how to be a diligent worker.
Luis’ strong background and experience in logistics and inventory management have made a critical contribution to the success of Mercado Fresco. As a Route Leader, he ensures that our micro-franchise owners have the resources they need to successfully run their businesses. Through his role, Luis has a front row seat to seeing the results of our initiatives, which inspire him on a daily basis.
Leana's experience working as a psychologist with youth from gangs in Nicaragua brings valuable insight to the Supply Hope team. Her primary goal has been to reintegrate the youth back into school, the work place and society as a whole. Her heart for children and her professional training are major assets when working with our store operators and their families. She is also able to provide practical living seminars addressing the needs of families holistically.
Jose Abraham Melendez
With experience in both market sales and food distribution, Jose brings both an excellent skill set to the Supply Hope office in Managua. His contacts with providers in the food industry have been extremely beneficial. Jose ensures that we partner with the best producers and he secures the best prices with his excellent negotiating skills. His role is integral to our store operators being successful and we are grateful to have him on our team.
Ronald is the newest member of our Supply Hope team. He previously worked as a car salesman at one the largest dealers in Nicaragua. His main goal as route assistant is to ensure micro-franchise owners have the resources they need to run their businesses, which in turn gives them the opportunity to improve their lives. His calm and thoughtful demeanor makes him a perfect fit to handle the various situations that arise on his delivery route shift. We are grateful to have Ronald on board.
Genesis has previous experience working as a gas station supervisor in a local chain. She was forced to quit this job sop that she could stay home and take care of her sick mother. She originally joined Supply Hope as a Mercado Fresco home-based store operator and showed great potential but was forced to close the store due to family issues in the home. She was later able to come back to work in the office operating our 'test store'. Since joining Supply Hope, Genesis has experienced much loss and much joy. She lost both her mother and her grandmother, but also gave birth to a beautiful baby boy that the Supply Hope family loves very much. Genesis is currently working as our data entry assistant and is helping with the Coaching Department following up on store sales and inventory. She has definitely become part of the Supply Hope family.
Fanny’s warm personality brings a welcoming atmosphere to training events at Supply Hope. She applies her background in psychology to build confidence and self-esteem in all our micro-franchise operators.
Carlos is in one of those people in constant motion – he is always at work and always with a smile. His strong work ethic and dedication come from his heart to help those with less. With his experience in food distribution he is a valuable contributor to our team.
JULIO CESAR BARBA
Before joining Supply Hope Julio Cesar was an assistant pharmacist, where he learned that good customer service starts with caring about customers. His positive personality makes him popular with our staff and micro-franchise operators. As coordinator of purchases and deliveries, he has an important role in making sure all our products meet high standards of quality
Growing up both in Nicaragua and the United States, Ivan has strong command of Spanish and English. He makes his home now in Managua, where he is completing his college degree in accounting. In addition to his role as a translator, Ivan has many versatile skills to help our team.
Erick comes to Supply Hope with 10 years of experience in accounting and finance for both commercial companies and non-profits, making his skills a perfect fit for our social-business approach. He brings expertise in accounting processes, audits and tax laws. Erick plays an important role at Supply Hope implementing controls and our monitoring systems.
Madeline has been a part of the vision of Supply Hope from its inception. Compelled by her love for helping the under-resourced, she is using her education from Northern Illinois and her business accounting experience to keep our finances in order.
Jodi joined Supply Hope after serving as Director of Global Compassion and Justice at Willow Creek Community Church. She has over 15 years of cross cultural missions and community development experience, and has served on numerous leadership teams and advisory board for non-profits and local churches. She uses her global experience to help us communicate what we are all about.
Mary has over 25 years of expertise managing multimillion dollar brands and start-up ventures after earning her degree from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. As a dedicated advocate for the poor, she has served as a key advisor and board member for several local and global non-profits, and now plays a vital role in developing the strategy for our micro-franchise operations.
Johanna Beach started as a communications volunteer with Supply Hope as a recent graduate from Wake Forest University with a degree in Theatre and Entrepreneurship. As a storyteller, she is passionate about sharing the stories of our micro-franchisers in ways that inspire people and extend our reach. Johanna is part-time, assisting with communications and development.
